Benefits of Rahu in 2nd House of Horoscope-

There are a lot of misconceptions in the minds, not only of the general public but also in the minds of astrologers, that Rahu in the 2nd house is harmful to savings, bank balance and general wealth. No, it is not so. It is well established experience of several generations of astrologers of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan that

(a) Mars in the 2nd house at one time or the other in the life of the individual brings huge drop in the wealth and assets of the individual, and might even lead to poverty depending upon the family and social background of the individual, while

(b) Rahu in the 2nd house positively improves and multiplies the money element or wealth (in cash or assets) of the individual slowly, gradually and steadily. Combination of other stars (barring Mars) do not disturb this influence of Rahu, rather the other stars help increase the wealth of the individual in their own manner and method.

(c) If an individual has in the 2nd house both Rahu and Mars, the astrologer must be very careful in giving predictions, because both are strong stars, they have adversary attitude towards each other, and neither of the two would surrender the ground. Then what is the best method to arrive at a conclusion?

First of all, check up the degrees of the two. If they are within 6 degrees to each other, both would assert themselves, especially during their mahadasa and antardasa into each other’s mahadasa, viz., Mars antardasa in Rahu mahadasa and Rahu’s antardasa in Mars mahadasa. In such a case as this, on one hand, the individual would have good income and savings owing to Rahu’s influence, and on the other, would suffer a loss or money gets stuck up owing to influence of Mars.
In case Mars and Rahu combination is within 12 degrees, the results would be more or less the same as when they are within 6 degree combination. However, if the combination is at a distance of more than 12 degrees, sometimes leading to their respective positions being in two different corners of the 2nd house, Rahu would not give much margin to Mars to function. No doubt, Mars would have a say to some extent and adversely affect the current income or level of savings or returns from investments. In doing so it ought to be borne in mind that it is always the position of Rahu and Mars in the Bhava-Chalitam chart which matters.
Then the next important point to judge the respective influence of Rahu and Mars together in the 2nd house is to check up their respective positions in the Navamsha-chart. If it is the horoscope of a female, check up the Trinshansha-chart too in addition to the Navamsha-chart. If in these charts, Mars holds good its influence over the 2nd house, while Rahu didn’t hold its influence over the 2nd house, take it Mars that would give once or twice in life of the individual, a big jolt to money content and assets or wealth of the individual, be it a man or a woman. It would also give problems of blood system and eyesight to the spouse of the individual.
However, if Rahu is holding its influence over the 2nd house in the Navamsha-chart (Trinshansha-chart included in case of females) either directly or through its counterpart Ketu, Mars wouldn’t find much scope to damage the money content and wealth of the individual. Very likely, both would hurt the health of the spouse or mutual relationship between wife and husband.
Rahu in the 2nd house induces the individual, in a big or a small manner, to share own money and wealth with other members of the family, though not so much with the society or community. This is true unless there are relevant stars to give this kind of result in the 4th and/or 9th house.
Rahu in the 2nd house is liberal towards the spouse to have enough money for spending but normally doesn’t hand over full control of the entire purse to the spouse. No doubt, spouse gains weight in social and communal circles on account of growth in money and wealth of the life-partner, so much so that the spouse gains physical weight too, and special efforts are needed to maintain figure.
Rahu in the 2nd doesn’t make very faithful lovers, rather slippery or casual ones, where physical contacts and regular meetings are concerned, but so long as the relationship continues, the individual is faithful financially.
These individuals do not have any reservations of caste, colour, creed, status, education etc in the matter of a love affair, but in financial dealings (like partnership or business association or sole representative or selling agent), these individuals keep their own selfish interest on top of everything. While entering into partnership with these individuals, Rahu’s position vis-a-vis other stars should be checked, if possible between the Birth-Chart of the partners, as is done in the case of matrimonial alliances.
And these individuals normally are not very fussy about upkeep, decoration, neatness, presentability of their premises of residence and work, whether temporary or long term or permanent one.
