Ruby is crimson red colored transparent stone. Which is chemically composed of the Alluminium oxide (Al2O3)  97.37%, Iron oxide 1.09%, silica 10.21% and total 97.32% (corundum). It does not lose its color. Ruby is extreamely hot and emmits hot red rays . It is one of costliest gemstones. The only natural gemstone that is harder than Ruby is Diamond. Hardness of the natural Ruby is 9 on the mohs scale of mineral hardness.
